The FA Cup semi-final draw will take place during the half-time interval of Manchester City’s last-eight clash with Newcastle on June 28.

The world’s oldest club competition will return to our television screens this weekend with the eight teams from England’s top flight set to battle it out for a place in the last four.

The FA Cup quarter-finals will take place over this weekend before the draw is held at 7.15pm BST. Semi-final ties will then take place on the weekend of July 18-19 before the FA Cup final will be hosted at Wembley on Saturday, August 1.

Norwich will face Manchester United in the Saturday evening kick-off before the three remaining matches are played the day after.

City’s game with the Magpies, the final match of the quarter-final ties, will be broadcast live on BBC One, allowing fans to watch the draw once the first half has finished.

The other Sunday games will feature Leicester vs Chelsea and Sheffield United vs Arsenal.

FA chief executive officer Mark Bullingham said: ‘We are pleased to agree the provisional restart date for the 2019-20 Emirates FA Cup.

‘The competition has been an integral part of the English football calendar for nearly 150 years, and we’d like to thank the Premier League executive and clubs for their support in scheduling the remaining matches during this unprecedented time.

‘This has been a difficult period for many people and, while this is a positive step, the restart date is dependent on all safety measures being met. The health and wellbeing of players, staff and supporters remains our priority.’
