Barcelona have announced that Juan Miranda will return to the Camp Nou, cutting short his loan spell at Schalke.

The Bundesliga side and the Catalans had agreed on loan deal in January that would see the left-back stay in Germany for another season.

However, all parties agreed to terminate the deal and Barcelona will decide what do with the 20-year-old in the next few days.

Miranda joined the Blaugrana from Real Betis in 2014 and he enjoyed some playing time under Ernesto Valverde in 2018/19.

That season, he played in two games against Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey and four LaLiga Santander matches, as well as the Champions League group-stage fixture against Tottenham Hotspur at the Camp Nou.
