NPFL club Enugu Rangers have retired No.15 jersey in the honour of Late Ifeanyi George ahead of next season.

The former Enyimba striker was driving to Lagos from Enugu when his vehicle collided into a stationary truck as the player was returning home after being granted leave by the Flying Antelope due to the NPFL suspension amid the coronavirus pandemic in March.

Rangers International took to their social media handle to make the announcement.

George had represented Nigeria’s home-based Eagles team on two occasions, playing for Salisu Yusuf’s team in both legs of their double-header African Nations Championship qualifier against Benin in August 2017.
