Victor Osimhen will be better off playing for Napoli than Liverpool in the 2020/2021 football season, according to Italian sports agent Andrea D’Amico.

The Nigerian is currently finalizing his move to the Italian side, who are reportedly keen to pay the €81m demanded by Lille.

“For now, there’s silence on negotiations until the white smoke,” D’Amico told Radio Kiss Kiss. Something’s in the process of being finalised, but I can’t say any more than that.”

Andrea D’Amico also claimed that the 21-year-old will thrive under Italian coach Gennaro Gattuso.

“Very much, he likes all good players. The Giuntoli-Gattuso axis is making Napoli stronger and stronger. The right step for the attacker is Napoli, not Liverpool.”

Osimhen scored 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 games for Lille in the just concluded 2019/2020 Ligue 1 season.
