Manchester United have entered into ‘advanced negotiations’ with Borussia Dortmund over a sensational move for the highly rated Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
Sancho, 20, has become one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents after putting his exploits on full show at Dortmund.
And United, who finished third in the Premier League last season, have been heavily linked with the Dortmund star since last summer.
According to The Guardian, the Red Devils are pushing forward with a whopping £90m (€100m) deal for Sancho.
The £90m fee would mean that Sancho would become the most expensive English player in history.
The newspaper added that Dortmund, who are pushing for a bid worth over £100m, have not officially agreed to the deal at the moment.
However, The Guardian reports that the German club could agree to a deal where United could pay the fee for the Sancho transfer ‘over the next two or three seasons.’
United’s deal for the England international would reportedly include an additional €20m in performance-related add-ons.
Sancho, whose current contract expires in 2022, scored 20 times and registered 20 assists in all competitions for Dortmund last season.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster his squad options after his side secured a Champions League spot for next season.
And the Red Devils are reportedly set for a summer clear-out as they release funds for a potential move on Sancho.
