Chelsea is close to a record-breaking deal after completing the moves for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner this summer.
The next on the list is the signing of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz and the report in BILD claims the Blues is close on the deal that would make the attacking midfielder the most expensive German.
Bayer Leverkusen has slapped a price tag of £90 million on the attacking midfielder a fee Chelsea is unwilling to pay at the moment.
Chelsea could part with only £70 million and they are looking to structure a deal that works in their favour using add-ons.
The two clubs have been in talks over a possible deal for the attacking midfielder but Real Madrid is also interested in the services of the 21-year-old but Los Blancos hierarchy won’t be making any signings this summer until next season due to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
