Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has beaten fierce rival Cristiano Ronaldo to be crowned the ‘GOAT.’
SPORTbible used TierMaker to rank different footballers and legends from GOAT status to overrated.
And the Argentine ace, 33, came out top of the pile to claim the top spot.
Behind Messi in the legend category was none other than Juventus ace Ronaldo, who featured alongside the likes of Ronaldinho, Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff.
Other world-class stars and former superstars featuring below the legends include Steven Gerrard, Ryan Giggs, Didier Drogba and Robin van Persie.
SPORTbible also created a tier for underrated players who haven’t received the praise they should have done.
Bayern Munich legend Arjen Robben is included alongside the likes of Manchester United all-time scorer Wayne Rooney, Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets and Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min.
But not everyone received praise as some footballers had the unfortunate pleasure of falling into the overrated tier.
And it will no doubt cause controversy as it features the likes of Brazil legend Pele, Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale and Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann.
Posted below are all of the players featuring in the different tiers.
GOAT: Lionel Messi
Legend: Zinedine Zidane, Paolo Maldini, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, Cristiano Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff, Carles Puyol and Diego Maradona

TierMaker has also been used to rate different positions in the Premier League, from centre-backs and midfielders to wingers.
