Liverpool is prepared to rival Real Madrid for European top star Kylian Mbappe in the next summer transfer, according to report.

L’Equipe claimed that the 21-year-old star is yet to sign a contract extension on his current deal, fueling a notion that he might secure a move out of France with Real Madrid credited with interest for the World Cup winner.

However, Liverpool is prepared to give Real Madrid a good run for their money as they aim to hijack the deal as they maintain close contact with former AS Monaco star.

Real Madrid has been in the race to sign the French star since 2017 but the attacker chose to sign for AS Monaco due to the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale at that time but the PSG star values more playing time at Paris than to sit on the bench at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid is also in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland as they aim to add more attacking reinforcement to the team.
