Hours after Seyi Makinde of Oyo state announced he was donating the sum of N100 million for the renovation of Soun of Ogbomoso’s palace after it was ravaged during the protest while offering the families of slain victims the sum of N1million, Nigerians have taken to social media to lambast the governor while accusing him of having misplaced priorities.

The palace of the monarch was vandalised by residents of the community after he was accused of folding his hands and keeping mute regarding the death of Jimoh Isaiq who was allegedly shot by a police officer during the #EndSARS protest last Saturday, October 10
