A staunch Gbagada FC football fan, Adeyemi Sunday has reportedly been shot dead by the police in Lagos.

 This was made public by a Nigerian football club, Gbagada FC while announcing his death.

 According to a Twitter post made by the official page of Gbagada FC, he reportedly lost his life yesterday, October 21, after suffering a gunshot injury sustained from a police bullet. 

Their tweet read, “We are saddened by the news that one of ours ‘Adeyemi Sunday’ a vibrant fan has just passed on as a result of a gunshot wound sustained from the Police Authority in Gbagada earlier today. We have lost a big one in the Blues family. Broken heart#GFC #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria”
