Endsars: Female Soldiers Deployed To Anambra Amidst Uprising

A special military squad comprising of female soldiers have been deployed to Anambra state to quell the ongoing uprising resulting from #endsars agitations in the state.

This was made known in a statement released by the state governor, Willie Obiano via his Facebook page.

The governor revealed that the special squad will complement the efforts of the gallant officers of other security agencies in Anambra whose hard work has kept us as the Safest State in Nigeria.

The governor wrote:

Earlier today, I received a Special Military Squad deployed to our dear State to aid in ensuring total return of peace and normalcy in Anambra.

We have always prioritized security of lives and properties of ndi Anambra and we are determined to take all necessary steps to make sure that every Onye Anambra enjoys peace. Live and work without any form of fear.

This special squad will complement the efforts of the gallant officers of other security agencies in Anambra whose hard work has kept us as the Safest State in Nigeria.

The effort of the governor to deploy female soldiers to the state has however been commended by Nigerians on social media who believe the all-female squad would show more compassion in dealing with residents of the state, unlike their male counterparts.
