Barcelona prodigy will be out for four months following the meniscus injury suffered in Saturday’s clash with Real Betis in the La Liga.

Ansu Fati will face a lengthy spell on the sidelines, with the team doctors claiming it will take approximately four months to return to action.

The attacker will miss virtually a large part of Barcelona’s season, he has five goals to his name this season and he is gradually improving from game to game before the devastating injury hit him hard.

The surgery which took place on Monday was revealed as being a success, which is a relief to the Blaugrana, yet now a period of intense rehabilitation begins.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman will have to consider other options to fill in the gap for the injured Ansu Fati.
