Former Super Eagles midfielder Austin Okocha has joined millions of football fans across the world to pay tribute to the late Diego Maradona.
The Argentine legend died on Wednesday after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest. The former Barcelona and Napoli player was released from hospital a couple of weeks ago following brain surgery.
‘What a sad day, we have lost one of the greatest to ever have played the game of football. But God knows better than man. RIP King, you will be missed,’ Okocha tweeted.
Interestingly, Okocha made his World Cup debut against a Maradona led Argentina team at the USA 94’ mundial.
