Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Aston Villa’s Dean Smith have been names Player and Manager for the month of December respectively.

The Portuguese star who has spent just 10 months in England have picked up his fourth award to equal Cristiano Ronaldo’s total number of four during his six seasons sojourn with the Red Devils.

It was Bruno’s second consecutive Player of the Month award and his goals and assists have helped Manchester United to top of the table after 17 matches for the first time since 2013.

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has been named the Premier League’s Manager of the Month for December.

Smith beat Carlo Ancelotti, Sean Dyche and Manchester United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to win the accolade after masterminding a five-game unbeaten run and finished 2020 in fifth place.
