Manchester City extended their lead on the Premier League table with a 2-0 win over Burnley at the Turf Moor Stadium on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling.

The two goals were scored in the opening 38 minutes of the clash, the Brazilian attacker scored the opener in the third minute and Ilkay Gundogan perfect assist to Sterling doubled Manchester City the lead over the Clarets.

Though Manchester City was in the hunt for the third goal Sean Dyche’s men were more disciplined in the second half of the clash.

With the result, Manchester City has extended their lead on the Premier League table with a game in hand.

Manchester City will be up against Liverpool on Sunday at the Anfield, the clash would likely be a decider in the race to win the Premier League.
