The 21-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in a £71 million deal from Bayer Leverkusen last summer and he was one of the world’s top prospects.
But Havertz has found it hard to adapt to English football and struggled under Frank Lampard as well as successor Thomas Tuchel.
However, a standout performance in Saturday’s 4-1 win could’ve finally seen the German international arrive in England.
Havertz managed to open the scoring inside eight minutes with a lovely finish and remained a constant threat going forward.
Not fazed by Palace’s physical defenders, he made sure to find space between them while playing as a false nine.
Busting out a few tricks along the way doesn’t hurt your showing either. It would’ve been hard to guess his last domestic goal came in October.
Fans have reacted to Havertz’s performance and they’re hoping he can have a productive end to this season.
