Nwankwo Kanu and Asisat Oshoala have congratulated Samuel Chukwueze after winning the Europa League title with Villarreal, Completesports.com reports.

The Yellow Submarine claimed the title for the first time after a nervy 11-10 penalty shootout win against Manchester United in Gdnask, Poland on Wednesday night.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of energy sapping football which saw Edison Cavani cancelled out Gerard Moreno’s first half strike.

Chukwueze missed the game as result of the injury he picked up in the semi-final clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The Nigeria international scored one goa and recorded four assists in 11 appearances in the competition.
