A Twitter user took to the microblogging platform to disclose that slices of yams are now reportedly sold in the market following the hike in foodstuff in the country.

According to @a_vanita, 4 slices of yam are now being sold in the market for N200 to those who don’t have enough money.

Nigerians have now taken to social media to lament about the increase in the cost of food items in the country.
