The armed bandits stormed the community around 2:30 am and the attack lasted till the early hours of this morning, Friday, July 23.

Three lives were lost and seven abducted as bandits invaded Dansadau community in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

A source in the community told Channels TV that the armed bandits stormed the community around 2:30am and the attack lasted for about 4 hours till the early hours of this morning, Friday, July 23.

The source also disclosed that armoured personnel carrier belonging to the Nigerian military was also set ablaze by the bandits.

The State Police Command is yet to confirm the attack. However, a member of the community, Sir Usman Dansadau, shared photos of the burnt armoured vehicle.
