Meet Music Artist:- LYD (Lloyd Chikezie Achonye)

Lloyd Chikezie Achonye professionally known as LYD also known as 602 / TSG is a Nigerian Rap Artiste from Nkwerre, Imo State, Nigeria. His Genre of music is Hiphop, Afro Hiphop and Afrobeat. He was born and raised in Aba, Abia State where he started rapping at a young age while in his first year in Senior Secondary School in the year 2010.

He started music professionally in 2015 when he recorded his first demo. The following years being 2016 and 2017, he was awarded the best rapper in school Abia State Polytechnic in the aforementioned years respectively. He also won one of the biggest rap competition in aba in the year 2016 which was held at Benidon hotel, Aba, Abia state and emerged as one of the hottest emcees in Aba. He participated in a Talent reality show titled “Wetin U Get” in 2016 which was held in Sugarland, Luxury City Hotel, Aba, Abia state in which he emerged as one of the finalists. He has several unreleased songs to his name which he used to perform at shows during his years in School and afterwards.

In 2021, he officially released a song titled “Okocha” off his first studio project titled “602 (the mixtape) vol. 1” which he dropped shortly the same year. It’s a 9 track mixtape containing tracks like “602 (intro)”, “Okocha”, “End SARS ( Omah Lay Bad influence cover)”, “Real with D Bars” featuring T.C, “Tif Tif” featuring MYB, “Spirits Don’t Lie”, “Shawty” (Tekno Go cover) featuring MYB, “Step Up” (Jay-Z Dead Presidents cover), “Coolest Rapper in The World” (Davido coolest kid in Africa cover). He further released “No Title Cypher” (NTC) featuring Festac finests Stimulus and Paulee the wordsmith. On 24 July same year 2021, he released “PruhBlem” featuring Nigerian Rap Icon & Headies award winner, “Terry tha Rapman”.
