In an interview with the New York Times on Monday, Uchitel spoke openly about her affair with the 2019 Masters champion and the effect it has had on her life.

American professional golfer, Tiger Woods is reportedly filing a lawsuit against his ex-mistress Rachel Uchitel for breaking her $8 million NDA after publicly speaking about their affair.

In an interview with the New York Times on Monday, Uchitel spoke openly about her affair with the 2019 Masters champion and the effect it has had on her life, revealing that she had signed an NDA in 2009 prohibiting her from talking about the affair.

It’s claimed the 46-year-old signed a 30-page long non-disclosure agreement that she would not talk about the affair with then married Woods and in return would receive a payment of $5 million, followed by an extra $1 million per year for the three years following.

However, Uchitel is said to have broken the agreement in 2019 after she agreed to feature in a HBO documentary on the 16-time major winner called ‘Tiger’ which was released earlier this year.

As a result, Woods’ former mistress spoke of her reasons for appearing on the show to the New York Times, saying: “I wanted for once to be the one to narrate my story.”

Following her appearance on the documentary, she reportedly successfully filed for bankruptcy after revealing she spent approximately $2 million that she netted from the agreement.

However, a lawyer for Woods, Michael Holtz, is attempting to challenge her protection from creditors so that he can impose a claim against Uchitel for millions of dollars on his client’s behalf after the breaking of the NDA, according to the Mail.

The 46-year-old revealed her now tarnished reputation ultimately left her in a difficult position, and that the only work she could find was as a spokeswoman for online seeking arrangement service ‘sugar dating’, who she is suing for nonpayment of $60,000 and damages.

Despite this, the arrangement service has denied any wrongdoing with Uchitel and is also said to be suing her.

Woods’ scandal included affairs with a number of women, including Uchitel; however the 46-year-old was the mistress who became the face of the story after she made several appearances within tabloid newspapers
