Command public relations officer ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam stated this in a press statement issued in Dutse.

The police in Jigawa State have arrested a 50-year-old security man Malam Labaran and seven others for allegedly conspiring to steal street light solar cable at Tsohon Kafi street, Kazaure Local Government, according to Daily Post.

Command public relations officer ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam stated this in a press statement issued to DAILY POST in Dutse.

He said the police in Kazaure had on Monday received a report that some criminals were planning to steal street light cable in Kazaure.

Shiisu said a patrol team was immediately mobilized and succeeded in arresting eight persons while attempting to carry the cables away after they dug it out.

Those arrested are Abdurrahman Rabiu, Aliyu Rabiu, Yahya Rabiu, Abba Rabiu, Mustapha, Abba Danlami, Mansur Rabiu and Malam Labaran the security man all of Tsohon Kafi Quarters Kazaure.

He said the suspects will be charged to court after investigation.
