The suspect confessed to the police after he stabbed his customer with a broken bottle.

Mumini Olanipekun, a seller of a locally liquor popularly known as Ogogoro has been detained by the police for stabbing his customer Wale, at his pub in Ifon Orolu, Osun State on Monday, September 13.

Eyewitnesses say Wale had gone to the pub to patronize Mumini. They got into a heated argument which degenerated into a fight. In the process, Mumini allegedly stabbed Wale with a broken bottle on the neck and stomach.

Wale was said to have been gasping for air and was being rushed to the hospital when he died on the way.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Yemisi Opalola, said the suspect has been taken to custody while an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
