Nigerian actor and comedian, Woli Arole took to Instagram to lament about the increase in the price of food items in the country, as the low performance of the Naira affects the local markets.

The Dollar is currently exchanging for 1/N560 in the black markets, and this has taken a huge toll on the local markets.
The cost of food is rising at an unprecedented rate, as cooking gas also now sells for N600 per kg around the country.
Woli Arole in a new video questioned if the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and the current Minister of Agriculture are not aware of the price change.
Arole pointed out that things are very expensive and a lot of people are hungry.
Using beans as an example, the comedian wondered if beans are no longer being planted, but mined due to their outrageous price in the market.
Speaking further, Arole stated that he can not blame the sellers because they are also affected by the increase in price.
