Best known for his booming track “Beat Box,” which was followed by a series of remixes including one from DaBaby, the rapper was thrust into the spotlight earlier this year thanks to a TikTok trend.

SpotemGottem, an American rapper from Florida has been admitted in a hospital after being shot in a drive-by shooting on Friday September 17. 

TMZ reported that law enforcement sources said the shooting took place around 3 a.m. local time on Friday September 17. It was learnt that another car pulled up alongside his and shot at least 22 times on the driver’s side.

The driver told cops that he was driving southbound on I-95 when gunshots started ringing out from another car. The driver was shot in his hip, while Spotemgottem suffered gunshot wounds to both legs. They were both taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Manager of the 19-year-old rapper, Dee Phatboy also confirmed the shooting. Phatboy said Spotem who was being driven from a Miami recording studio at the time of the incident, is expected to make a full recovery.
