Liverpool are allegedly interested in landing RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dani Olmo.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are being viewed as the ‘main competitor’ to Barcelona for the services of the 23-year-old. He has gained a burgeoning reputation across Europe with his performances for Die Roten Bullen and Spain over the last 18 months.

Now according to a fresh report from Catalan based ElNacional, the Reds and Blaugrana are set to battle for the player. The report adds that the German coach wants to bring the star to Merseyside ‘no matter what’ and the board are readying an attractive contract offer.

Dani missed much of the early season because of a muscle injury has only recently returned to the pitch. He is under contract until June 2024, landing the versatile midfielder for the mooted £42m asking price would represent extraordinary value for money.
