Gunmen invaded a Fulani settlement in Barakallahu community, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing a man identified as Imam Abubakar.

The unknown gunmen during the attack went away with an undisclosed number of cows.

Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi, the community District Head, explained that the incident happened around 12:15 am, in the early hours of today.

He explained, “Around midnight, we started hearing shots being fired, they (gunmen) must have shot 50 times before they finally left the community.”

The District Head further explained that he was told that they (gunmen) killed one man and took away many cattle.

He said that he wass yet to confirm the number as he was on his way to see the family.

When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige promised to get get in touch with the DPO in charge of the area.

He was yet to do so as of the time of filing this report.
