Mirandes manager Joseba Etxeberria has labelled Umar Sadiq “a first- rate” striker ahead of his side’s league clash against Almeria on Sunday.

Sadiq has scored 10 goals in 22 league appearances for Almeria this season making him one of the deadliest strikers in the Spanish Segunda Division.

The 25-year-old netted 20 times in 35 league appearances for the club last term.

Etxeberria insisted that it is important for his side to stop the striker if they are to get anything from the game.

“Umar is a first-rate centre-forward,” Etxeberria told a press conference on Friday.

“With good defensive mechanisms, we will be more reliable, and apart from that, we have to keep our vigilance to the maximum.”
