Nigerian Man Accuses INEC Officers In Lagos Of Demanding Residents Present Their State-owned ID Cards Before PVC Registration

As Nigerians struggle to get their PVCs ahead of the 2023 elections, a man has called out INEC officers in Lagos for allegedly demanding residents to present their state-owned ID cards before they can be registered for the Permanent Voters card PVC.

The Lagos State Residents Registration Agency LASRRA is charged with the responsibility of giving identity cards (LASRRA card) to all registered citizens or residents of the state.

In a viral video, the man claimed that the officials of the electoral body were demanding he and others who were there to register for their PVCs to present their LASSRA cards before they can be registered.

INEC officials in Lagos are yet to react to this claim.
