Manchester City Trevor Sinclair has insisted that incoming Chelsea striker, Raheem Sterling is world-class.

Sterling is set to dump Manchester City for the west London side with talks progressing smoothly.

Romelu Lukaku has returned to Inter Milan on loan to pave way for the England international to switch to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea is also chasing Leeds United’s Raphinha for £60 million and continues to work on a deal for Manchester City’s Sterling.

Sterling, who has won four Premier League titles at City last season, looks to be the first of those to be completed, with the champions happy to let him leave this summer.

“Sterling’s stats are extraordinary,” Sinclair told talkSPORT.

“Only 3 players have scored 100 goals for Pep; Messi, Aguero and Sterling!”

“0.48 non-penalty goals per 90! Only Salah, Son and Aubameyang above him!”
