Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards, has told the club’s winger Raheem Sterling that he would be devastated if the England international joined Chelsea this summer.
Sterling has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.
But Richards doesn’t want him to leave Pep Guardiola’s side.
He told Sky Sports News: “We don’t want Raheem to go. I would be devastated.
“Manchester City are still well-equipped to have anybody in that position and still do well.”
He added, “But Raheem, for me, is a Man City legend and I would not want to see him go. I think he is underappreciated, if I am totally honest. It is not just his goals and assists, it is the runs he makes in behind for the team and he is a team player, so I don’t want him to go.”
Sterling has made 337 appearances for Man City, scoring 131 goals and contributing 94 assists.
