Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate for the 2023 election, has picked a Muslim running mate, according to Vanguard.

Recall that some stakeholders in the country had warned the former Lagos State Governor against picking a Muslim running mate, as Muslim-Muslim ticket would sideline the Christians.

However, a report by Vanguard on Sunday indicated that Tinubu has settled for Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

Shettima, the representative of Borno Central Senatorial District in the Red Chamber, was a two-term Governor of Borno State.

Tinubu is expected to inform President Muhammadu Buhari about his choice of running mate within the week.
