Former Aston Villa striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor has had his say on Manchester United’s pursuit of Frenkie de Jong.
Agbonlahor wonders why it seems like Manchester United want to force the player to the airport even when it is clear the 25-year-old does not want to move to Old Trafford.
De Jong has told his club, Barcelona he does not want to leave the Catalan club despite the Spanish giants agreeing terms with Manchester United.
“When you say ‘De Jong imminent’, I fell like it’s been like that for a month,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.
“It’s like he is going to be forced to the airport. It doesn’t sound like he wants to sign.
“I think he just doesn’t want to leave one of the biggest clubs in the world and go to Manchester United.
“It seems like he’s been forced to go, which isn’t the Manchester United way.”
