The Joseph Yobo Foundation in partnership with the Rivers State Government have put together an encounter tagged ‘The Joseph Yobo Centenary Game’ holding in May this year
To be hosted by Governor Nyesom Wike, this event will see top football stars like Wayne Rooney, Tim Howard, Samuel Eto’O and Yaya Toure in Port Harcourt playing in a testimonial march in honour of former Super Eagles captain and former Everton Defender, Joseph Yobo.
This march is to celebrate his milestone of playing more than 100games for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The now retired centre-back was capped 100 times by Nigeria and represented the three-time African champions at three FIFA World Cups and six Africa Cup of up in Nations tournaments.
Yobo’s last appearance for Nigeria was against France in a round of 16 match at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
