Former Tottenham Hotspur striker, Darren Bent, has urged Manchester United Premier League rivals, Arsenal not to sign wantaway forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bent believes Ronaldo would not fit in Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta’s style of play at Emirates.
Ronaldo continues to be the subject of intense speculation this summer, with the Portugal captain reportedly eyeing an exit from Old Trafford.
The 37-year-old wants to continue playing in the Champions League, a competition that Man United failed to qualify for last season.
The five-time Ballon d’Or managed 24 goals in 38 appearances in his first campaign since returning to the club from Juventus as Man United finished in the sixth position and have remained without a trophy since 2017.
Despite Ronaldo looking for a way out of Man United this summer, Bent wouldn’t want to see him join his favoured side, Arsenal.
“The way Arsenal are moving forward, the way that Arteta likes to play, front foot, high energy, no, I wouldn’t take him [Ronaldo],” Bent told talkSPORT.
