Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper, Paul Robinson, has said Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah exposed Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo during the Community Shield game on Saturday.

Salah scored and provided an assist at the King Power Stadium, as the Reds won the season-curtain-raising trophy.

Although Robinson believes Cancelo had a brilliant campaign last season, he pointed out that he had a tough outing against the Egyptians.

“Cancelo did brilliantly at left-back last season,” Robinson told Football Insider.

“He was in my team of the year. He was outstanding.

“It has to be said though, he had a tough afternoon against Salah. He was exposed one on one against him.”
