Marcus Rashford has been told to leave Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain immediately.
Daily Mirror pundit, Darren Lewis, wonders why the 24-year-old should insist on remaining at Old Trafford where his career is making no progress.
Lewis accused the Red Devils of running down the career of footballers who were potential superstars, warning that a stay at Man United will stagnate Rashford like some of his teammates.
“I don’t think it’s a question of whether Man United should sell Rashford, it’s whether Rashford should stay at a club that is stagnating and sucking everyone down with them,” Lewis told talkSPORT.
“There are so many players Manchester United are just sucking down. It’s sheer madness to just sit here right now and suggest a player like Marcus Rashford, 24 years of age, is finished and reach the end of the road.
“I bet you any money that you will see him, should he take it, go to PSG and become once again the fantastic player we know him to be.”
According to him, the England international should follow the footsteps of Belgian forward, Romelu Lukaku who left Manchester United for Inter Milan in 2019 and emerged the highest goalscorer in the Italian league.
