It said the only action it could take was to call on Ndigbo to boycott the general election if the need arose.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said its members are not responsible for recent attacks on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Owerri, Imo State.
According to TheNation, IPOB Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said as a movement it had never supported or involved in any election obstruction or violence in Nigeria.
It said the only action it could take was to call on Ndigbo to boycott the general election if the need arose.
IPOB has urged security agencies to arrest those announcing sit-at-home order in the Southeast, beginning from December 9 to 14.
It said they are criminals.
In a video clip that went viral on the social media, an unidentified male voice warned people in the Southeast to stay at home on December 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14.
The voice said anybody who disobeyed the order to stay indoors on those days risked being killed, adding that people should start buying what they needed from now till December 8.
Powerful told The Nation that the IPOB leadership did not issue any sit-at-home order.
