Police Rescue Kidnap Victim, Recover Vehicle In Anambra

A victim who was abducted in Anambra state has been rescued by the police.

The operatives also recovered a Tacoma SUV with registration number No KJA 22 GB, during a patrol along Uga, Akokwa road, on January 12.

A statement from the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, says the operatives sighted the motionless vehicle in a bush along Uga, akokwa, road opposite a fuel station.

He said the Police operatives approaching the vehicle discovered a man struggling for breath and with marks of violence all over his body.

The police spokesperson said the victim has been taken to a hospital where he is currently receiving medical attention.

He added that an investigation into the incident has commenced and further details shall be communicated.
