President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the murder of Chief Oyibo Chukwu, the Labour Party, LP, senatorial candidate for Enugu State East Senatorial District, and his aide by unknown assailants.

Buhari, in a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, believes that the perpetrators of this ignoble act have no respect for human life and dignity.

According to him, the culprits deserve the wrath of divine and natural justice.

The President also directed security agencies to “track down the culprits of this heinous crime,” even as he sympathized with the families of the victims, the Labour Party and the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA.

Recall that Chukwu was reportedly killed and set ablaze alongside other party members on Wednesday at Amaechi Awkunanaw, Enugu.
