The deviant soldier identified as Lance Corporal Nwabodo Chinonso, allegedly killed Inusa, the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Nigeria Army Forward Base Operation Units in Raba local government area of Sokoto.

The colleagues and loved ones of Sergeant Iliyasu Inusa are mourning his tragic demise after he was shot dead by a soldier in Sokoto State.

The deviant soldier identified as Lance Corporal Nwabodo Chinonso, allegedly killed Inusa, the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Nigeria Army Forward Base Operation Units in Raba local government area of Sokoto.

He also killed Lieutenant Sam Oladapo and a Private Soldier Attahiru Muhammad before he took his own life.

Nwobodo of 223 Battalion Zuru, Kebbi State, was deployed at Forward Operating Base Rabah, where the incident happened at the residence of the Base commander on Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Reacting to the killing of Inusa, fondly known as OC Taste, a colleague, Michael Akpomudjere, in a Facebook post on Wednesday, March 8, said; “It’s hard to believe that OC Taste my regular is gone. What a painful death just a few years left to enjoy the fruits of his labour after all the suffering. If it is  the bullet from the enemies that killed him then we would have avenged his death. Why kill ourselves leaving our enemies? I am speechless. May your gentle soul rest in peace.”
