Abortion is a criminal offence under Nigerian law – FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, educates Nigerians

The FCT police command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, has reminded Nigerians about the provisions of the law which prohibits abortion in Nigeria. 

In a post shared on X, Adeh mentioned that section 232 of the Penal Code and Section 228 of the Criminal Code criminalises the act of abortion and classifies it as a felony, punishable under the law for both the man and woman involved in it.
