A high court sitting in Abuja has suspended Abia state LG election scheduled to hold on 21st December, 2017.
In a 20 page injunction obtained by one of the contestant Mr. Emmanuel Okoronkwo of the Young Democratic Party (YDM), the court said that due to the palpable fear and apprehension in the state, any decision of the 3rd defendant (ABSIEC) to proceed with the conduct of the election will further generate political crisis.
