African legend Samuel Eto’o has announced his retirement from football after 22 years of a long glittering career.
The 38-year-old Cameroonian was Qatar Star League side Qatar SC, which he joined in the summer of 2018 from Turkey’s Konyaspor after playing for the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Everton. Eto’s announced his retirement through an Instagram post with the caption, “The End. Towards a new challenge. Thank you all, big love.”
Eto’s started his career with Kadji Sports Academy before a spell with Real Madrid, Real Mallorca, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Anzhi Makhachkala, Chelsea, Everton, Sampdoria, Antalyaspor, Konyaspor and Qatar SC where he made 759 appearances370 goals and scored in the process.
