Agent comments on transfer, says defender will be a Chelsea player after January window – originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Chelsea defender Baba Rahman has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this month but his agent has confirmed that he will be a Chelsea player when the window closes.
The young left back arrived for a considerable sum of money during the summer. The 21-year-old was signed as a replacement for Filipe Luis, but the former Augsburg man has failed to make the cut so far.
Baba Rahman was regarded as one of the best young left backs in Europe prior to his Chelsea move, but the lack of game time since then has stagnated his progress.
Although his agent has ruled out a move in January, it will be wise for the player to consider loan offers if there are any. At this point of his career, the young defender needs to play regularly and continue his development.
Although Chelsea do not have a specialist left back, it is highly unlikely that the African will break into the first team anytime soon.
In these circumstances, a move away from Chelsea would probably be the best decision for the player.
