Akon’s wife files for divorce after 29years of marriage

American-Senegalese singer, Akon, has reportedly been dragged into a legal battle after his wife, Tomeka Thiam, filed for divorce to end their 29-year marriage.

Reports suggest that Tomeka is demanding €100 million as compensation following years of alleged irreconcilable differences.

The longtime couple, who have been together since the early days of Akon’s music career, were once regarded as one of the entertainment industry’s most enduring unions.

However, insiders claim that the marriage had been strained for years, with Tomeka citing emotional neglect and lack of transparency over Akon’s finances.

While the divorce filing shocked many fans, sources close to the family revealed that Tomeka had been contemplating separation for a while, especially after the singer’s multiple relationships became public.
