Akpabio said my waist would make good movements – Senator Natasha

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of making inappropriate remarks about her, including a comment that her waist would make “good movements.”

Akpoti-Uduaghan, suspended from the Senate on March 6 for “gross misconduct,” claims her suspension was a ploy to silence her. A day earlier, she had submitted a sexual harassment petition against Akpabio.

In an interview with the BBC, she alleged that Akpabio frequently made suggestive comments, squeezed her hands inappropriately, and once remarked, “Oh Natasha, you are not wearing your ring… is this an invitation to treat?”

She broke down in tears, saying, “People don’t understand what it means to carry this. I just want to work in peace.”

However, Senate Deputy Chief Whip Onyekachi Nwaebonyi dismissed the allegations, insisting Akpabio never harassed her.

Akpabio himself denied the claims, stating, “I have the highest regard for women.”
