Principal Special Assistant on Knowledge Economy and Investments to Governor Samuel Ortom, Dr Tavershima Adyorough was shot and killed by gunmen who invaded his residence at about 12:30am last night.

His wife was also shot, she is currently admitted at an undisclosed hospital.

Reacting to his death, Governor Ortom demands the arrest and prosecution of the killers.

He also sympathizes with the immediate family of the deceased, the government and people of the state on the loss and pledges that he would support security agencies in apprehending the culprits. He urges those with useful information that can lead to the arrest to make same available.

Lasgidi Online recall that Denen Igbana, the Senior Special Assistant on Security to Gov. Samuel Ortom was also murdered at his residence in Makurdi last year.
