Armed Robbery Victim Excited After Receiving Artificial Leg In Imo State (Photos)






A 47-year-old father of two children, Mr. Okereke Iroegbute, who hails from Umuzegem, Ubauhu, Okigwe LGA, Imo State – has been given a reason to smile again after he was given an artificial leg to help his condition. According to reports, on the 24th June 1999 by 12 midnight, the school teacher was a victim of armed robbery attack in his residence in Imo State.

“It was a terrible incident that has left me a disable” -Mr. Okereke lamented”.

“I was shot severally in my right leg by the robbers in their quest for money”. “All effort to treat this leg and walk normal was unfruitful; the last remedy was to cut the leg that’s why I have one leg,” he passionately disclosed.

Mr. Okereke Iroegbute is the first beneficiary of ObinnaCare Initiative, a humanitarian pet project of Hon. Obinna Kingsley Onwubuaririi, member representing Okigwe/Isiala-Mbano/Onuimo federal constituency, at the National Assembly Abuja.
