Arsenal could make the Champions League cut for the next season if the Premier League remained unfinished.
The Premier League remained undecided this season due to the outbreak of coronavirus that halt all sporting activities in the World.
The decision of the European football governing body UEFA could see Arsenal made the cut to vie once again in the Champions League .
This is because UEFA is ‘being urged to order associations to use coefficient scores’ as a method for determining which teams play in which European competitions next season.
The coefficient is calculated on the results of clubs competing in the five previous seasons of the Champions League and Europa League.
It means the Gunners would climb into the top four alongside Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.
The report in The Sun says the national member associations of European football’s governing body gathered for a conference call on Tuesday for an update on ‘a variety of calendar options’ to complete the 2019-20 season and UEFA again urged them to do all they can to complete their league and cup competitions.
This would come as good news for Arsenal and the club fans, the Gunners have been unable to finish in the top four in the past four seasons and have missed out on the Champions League in those seasons even before the exit of Arsene Wenger.
